Don Tomsa Maranzalla was the duke's own swords-master and he ran the House of Glass Roses, a school-of-arms. He was the man who trained Jean in the art of combat. He was born in Villa Senziano, and was among the number of village boys including, Father Chains, who joined the blackjackets.
